This is a lovely little Acrylic  Seven Sorrows (or Dolores) Chaplet, made in Italy.

The Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows is a prayer that honours the sorrows Our Lady endured as the Mother of God, during His childhood and especially during His passion and death. It’s also known as the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows or the Servite Rosary. 
How to pray
  • The chaplet is a devotion to Mary that can help you understand her journey and reflect on your own relationship with God. 

  • It’s a way to bring comfort to Mary and ask for her solace in your own struggles. 

  • The chaplet is often said in connection with the Seven Dolors of Mary.
History
  • The chaplet originated in the 13th century. 

  • It’s gained new popularity since the 1980s after the Church-approved Marian apparitions in Kibeho, Rwanda.

  • The chaplet may include tear-shaped beads to symbolize Mary’s tears. 

  • It may also include a medal for each of Mary’s Seven Sorrows.
